Pair of antique bronze ritual bottles
An elegant pair of antique bronze bottles, recognisable by their slender, perfectly balanced silhouette. Their globular body rests on a flared, ringed foot and rises into a long ribbed neck ending in a slightly flared opening. These bottles were traditionally used to hold and offer alcohol during religious ceremonies, the offering forming part of the ritual gestures. The bronze reveals a superb bronze-gold patina, deep and irregular, whose dark nuances naturally underline the reliefs. Their strongly graphic outline gives them a true sculptural presence today. Shown as a pair, they make magnificent decorative objects as much as sought-after pieces for art lovers.
