Sculpted resin wall medallion – China
A charming circular medallion in moulded and sculpted resin, depicting a traditional Chinese scene full of poetry and elegance. At the centre of the composition, a dignitary travels in a horse-drawn carriage, accompanied by his servants, moving through a lush landscape punctuated by trees, pavilions and stylised vegetation.
The relief is particularly detailed: the drapery of the figures, the spokes of the wheel, the foliage and architectural elements create a living scene inspired by the tales and prints of imperial China.
Its ivory tone gives it the appearance of an antique sculpture while remaining very light. Meant for wall decoration, this medallion brings an exotic, refined touch to a classical or contemporary interior.
An evocative decorative piece that invites travel through the world of scholars and high dignitaries of traditional China.
