Contemporary Chinese apothecary cabinet

About this piece

Contemporary Chinese apothecary cabinet

Inspired by traditional Chinese apothecary cabinets, this contemporary piece won me over at once with its charm, its proportions and its 32 drawers.

Its warm-toned wood, the graphic repetition of its fronts and its metal ring pulls give it a particularly decorative presence.

It is not antique, and I do not try to present it as such. But when I select a piece for Galerie 55, I also work by coup de cœur.

This one seduced me with its scale, its look and its extraordinary storage capacity.

So it naturally found its place among my antique Chinese furniture.

Because at Galerie 55, age is not everything: a piece must above all have a soul, character, and provoke an emotion.
