About this piece

Moroccan Riad fountain in chiselled iron, copper, bone and coral

An exceptional architectural piece, this antique Moroccan riad fountain bears witness to the refinement of the traditional houses of Fez and Marrakech. Made entirely of hand-chiselled iron, it is enriched with inlays of copper, bone and coral that compose a decoration of remarkable finesse.

Its horseshoe Moorish arch, surrounded by vegetal arabesques and geometric motifs inspired by Islamic art, gives it a spectacular presence. The central panel retains the place of its former water inlet, recalling its original function: to bring freshness, serenity and elegance to the heart of the patio.

Today this rare piece can be reinterpreted as a monumental decorative element, an extraordinary headboard, an entrance feature, or an architectural work meant to elevate a contemporary or classical interior.

Every detail reveals the know-how of Moroccan master craftsmen, able to turn metal into true sculpted lace.

A statement piece at the crossroads of art, architecture and decoration.
